Keg Talks Schedule & Topics

We'll be hosting Keg Talks once a month through the end of the year. You're welcome to attend multiple Keg Talks as the beers we taste and topics we'll discuss will vary event to event. Check out the schedule and topics below.

Tuesday, September 25 [Tickets]

We will take an in-depth look at four of the core beers from Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company and learn about the history of each style, what makes it unique, fun stories, special brewing techniques and how the styles have evolved over time. Why do we talk about the “tradition” of Kölsch? What makes it a “New England Style IPA”? How did Porter get its name? We will explore all of these questions and more. Food will be provided by Caldwell Confections with an Oktoberfest theme.

Tuesday, October 23 [Tickets]

Looking to do your own beer dinner, or just want to know what would pair best with that Korean Bulgogi you just ordered? Kelsey Roth, Certified Cicerone™ and General Manager at Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company will guide you through the four primary principles of beer and food pairing...with ice cream! T.C. Scoops from Medway will join us to provide the ice cream that will be paired with various beers.

Tuesday, November 20 [Tickets]

Taste beer with your eyes closed! In this talk, we will cover the principles and techniques of beer sensory analysis. We’ll cover common terms and explore typical aromas and flavors that you’ll find in beer, even the bad ones! We will then put that knowledge to test as we taste beers blind and use all of our senses to figure out what we are drinking. This is the best way to understand what characteristics contribute to a beers style category.

Tuesday, December 18 [Tickets]

Is it OK to cellar that beer? In some cases, yes! We will discuss which beers are good for aging and which ones aren’t. What is happening during the aging process? How long can you wait on it? We will sample some special cellared beer and in some cases, compare it to fresh batches to see how they differ.
